Violence Prevention Program
Vital Strategies understands that violence is a public health problem which must be tackled through an intersectoral approach.
Vital Strategies Brazil’s Violence Prevention Program aims to contribute to the improvement of public data on gender-based violence and violence against children, and, using evidence generated from these data, contribute to the improvement of public policies to prevent the aggravation of such violences. This work is carried out in partnership with universities and organizations from civil society, aiming to bring innovative strategies to the area.
Mission
Give visibility to the violence suffered by women and children through the development of public-health instruments capable of improving processes for identifying and confronting violence, thus promoting greater equity and healthy life expectancy for these vulnerable populations.
Vision
Design and implement evidence-based strategies to strengthen governmental institutions, with the aim of broadening the understanding of violence against women and children through the use of public data, technology, and promotion of strategic communication.
