Event: Can Data End Gender-Based Violence?

In May 2023, as part of the Vital Talks series and Women Deliver 2023 Global Dialogue, Vital Strategies conducted a panel of experts who are using health data to inform gender-based violence prevention initiatives. Moderated by internationally renowned journalist Shakuntala “Shaks” Santhiran, the event “Can Data End Gender-Based Violence?” highlighted several innovative examples of actions being taken to address this relevant public health challenge.

Data Matching Training in Mozambique

The Vital Strategies Brazil team conducted a workshop in Mozambique to train local institutions in the use of data matching techniques. The meeting brought together more than 30 government representatives and highlighted the potential of this methodology to improve the quality of information on gender-based violence in the country.
